Better together – new partnership to shake up sustainable building in NZ
RDT Pacific is now the project management partner for The New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC), to help shape a more sustainable, healthy built environment for New Zealand.
Through this partnership, RDT Pacific will work with NZGBC, as project manager for the Green Star Buildings Programme, a major shift towards a more sustainable building future.
RDT Pacific director, Simon Wilson says the partnership is a perfect alignment with RDT Pacific’s commitment to sustainability and shared vision for better, built environments.
“As influencers in the construction industry, we are perfectly positioned to drive positive change and by partnering with passionate advocates like NZGBC we can put our expertise into helping navigate challenges and make the building industry a more sustainable one,” says Simon.
“Striking a balance between people, prosperity and sustainability is an ongoing and often intricate challenge that we need to be front and centre of, and the outcome – greener, healthier buildings – is immensely rewarding.”
RDT Pacific is well-placed to manage projects aiming for Green Star Rating having delivered a number of projects to NZGBC’s exacting environmental standards for clients including Auckland International Airport, Goodman, Stride, Waste Management, Toll Group NZ and Foodstuffs.
Simon is currently Chair of the Advisory Group of NZGBC. He was part of a working group to develop the new rating tools under the Green Star Programme.
NZGBC is a not-for-profit advocacy, created by the building sector to lead change with aspirational benchmarks for design, construction, and operational performance. They are a member of the World Green Building Council.
